On Tuesday, March 5, representatives from the South Carolina Equipment Distribution Program (SCEDP) will appear at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine’s 2019 Assistive Technology Expo at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center beginning at 8:30 a.m.
An Exhibit Hall will be filled with vendors for technologies ranging from mobility products, devices for people with developmental disabilities, medical equipment, home accessories, daily living aids and products and services for seniors and/or people living with sensory impairments.
In addition, three different sessions of workshops will be held on a variety of issues related to assistive technology products, programs, and implementation for which free continuing education credits are available.
SCEDP is administered by the Office of Regulatory Staff and is a sponsor of the event.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. Parking is free in the Convention Center parking lot and in 1007 Park St.
